So, here's the deal--I'm going to make some sort of food item (bread, dessert, candy...not sure) for my giveaway. That probably means this is limited to people who live in my city, but there are a lot of you that follow this who do! I'm sorry I can't do something for the rest of you around the world, too!
In order to have your name entered, you need to leave a comment on this post. You need to tell me one of two things...your favorite recipe you've found on this blog OR something you really wish you could make for Thanksgiving or Christmas that you think you can't based on ingredients, know-how, or whatever. Or answer both! Maybe some of you will help me with ideas and recipes that will actually be helpful to you before the holidays. I have so many its hard to narrow them down!! I might even break my 2-posts-a-week goal and do 3 just to get it all in!
You have to leave a comment before 6pm on Sunday, November 7th. I'll announce a winner the next day! Then I'll get you your prize sometime that week. If the winner is someone I don't actually know, I'll leave a way for you to contact me over email with your number when I announce the winner. Hope this is something that will be fun for you!!
love ALL your recipes sara beth! my fav so far is the creamy chicken and vegetable pasta. making it tonight:). congrats on a year of blogging. thanks so much for doing it. you have no idea how much it has blessed me and thus our fam! -megan
ReplyDeleteSB,
ReplyDeleteThere are so many recipes of yours that I like. But some of my favorite are the calzone recipe (I use it for pepperoni rolls), pie crust, pork sausage and pizza crust. I'm hoping to make a "hash brown" casserole like my mother-in-law makes. I think I can get the recipe from her but if you have tips in making it I'd love to hear them!
I hope I win! :)

I was really inspired when you blogged about stocking up on fresh tomatoes and pumpkin. We can't get anything canned here (nor am I willing to pay the price), but I never thought about freezing it ahead of time.
ReplyDeleteSince I'm 33 weeks prego, planning ahead seems like a good idea. Hummm... wonder where I could put a freezer? In the dining room maybe? ha!
I've also made your Oatmeal M&M Cookies. Delicious. I found that the almond extract takes it to the next level. Thanks for inspiring me to serve my family better. HUGS.
My deep freezer is in the bathroom!! Make space where we can!! Ha!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if it counts if I haven't actually made your recipe yet but I have to say that the excellence and deliciousness of your peppermint patties has definitely stuck with me for almost a year and I am looking forward to trying them out for myself this holiday season!! Denise
ReplyDeleteBrian was talking about those the other day, Denise. They will definitely be making another appearance in goodie bags this year!!!
ReplyDeleteSara Beth, I love your copycat Chick-Fil-a Chicken Nuggets! I made them this summer for a huge group and everyone LOVED them!! I am also planning to make some pumpkin puree soon! Keep the recipes coming!
ReplyDeleteI also love the Chick-Fil-A chicken recipe! I worked there in high school for 2 years and it's one food that I'll NEVER grow tired of! These really taste like the real thing (ok it's been awhile since we've been in the US :)). I also love the Oriental Chicken Salad! It was a summer staple this year! Thanks for sharing your recipes! Angela
ReplyDeleteThe Chick Fil A goodness!! The roommates made it for me the other day - and it was the perfect comfort food to end the day on.
ReplyDeleteAnd I just think you're pretty fantastic too - but you're not one of your recipes, so I can't vote on you. But I would if I could.
ok. so although i eat your food weekly and it's AMAZING i didn't want to pass up this opportunity for MORE food! haha. you're blog is awesome. i've not tasted anything that i didn't find quite delicious. of course, you know i'm a fan of the chicken/broccoli/tomato dish, and thanks for the tortilla lessons. and also, all the recipes you've photocopied for me have been very helpful. i'm feeling lucky today. can't wait to win this contest.
ReplyDeleteI wish I lived in your city so I could win this. You are such a blessing to so many through this blog! LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteSB,
ReplyDeleteThough I think most of what we have eaten this year has come from you or your blog, my favorite would have to be totally impractical - the almost as good as the box brownies. It would be embarrassing to tell you how many times we have made this recipe since you posted it not too long ago.
Keep them coming!
