My mom sent this to me awhile back in an email titled "A Week Off." Thought I'd share this week as I'm lacking time for much else! She found it in a cookbook for expat wives in East Africa from 1979. I'm sure all us expats have felt like this at some point! Have a great weekend!
Sad Recipe
I didn't have potatoes, so I substituted rice...
I didn't have paprika, so I used another spice...
I didn't have tomato sauce, I used tomato paste...a whole can, not a half, I don't believe in waste.
A friend gave me the recipe, said you couldn't beat it;
There must be something wrong...I couldn't even eat it!
