Fritter Toast

I'm gearing up lots of guest posts over the next few months! This comes from my friend, Patti--she's lived in multiple countries around Asia and has raised 4 girls out here. I'm excited to have several recipes of hers to share with you in coming weeks.

This is usually called French Toast and is still one of our girls' favorites.  For our family, food and meals define many of our memories. It was always a go-to dish when we were in a hurry or needed comfort food.

Fritter Toast
2 eggs
1/3 cup milk
1/3 cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon baking powder
6 slices of bread (stale bread works great)

Whisk all ingredients together until mixture is smooth.  Dip bread into mixture and place on a lightly butter griddle or skillet until golden brown on both sides.

Serve with powdered sugar and syrup.
