How many of you are into coconut oil for all its various uses? This seller has some Hainan (supposedly) organic coconut oil that has worked great for me. Their prices are way more reasonable than imported options available on Taobao and Amazon.cn. I have been using it in several baking things (recipe coming soon!) and I also have been mixing it with essential oils in roller balls or as a salve (side note: this is not fractionated coconut oil so it is solid below a certain temperature).
Any of you have some fun finds?
Thanks for sharing! Does the oil have a coconut taste? I am looking for a slightly refined one for Chinese food as well as a coconutty one for baking.
ReplyDeleteI have been using it mostly in a granola bar with and adding just a little coconut in addition, but I do think it has a coconutty taste for sure. I've not branched out into other baking with it. I've always skipped recipes that call for it in the past!!
