I thought I'd share a few of my favorite local cleaning supplies, in case you're new to China. Now don't go starting to judge that I don't make my own less toxic, essential oil scented supplies. There are so many things I just don't have time for in my life and homemade cleaning supplies is one of them. So until that day comes…here are my China favorites.
Mr. Muscle is a pretty prominent brand in this area--I would assume countrywide. I buy this brand for toilet cleaner and kitchen cleaner. It has some pretty amazing grease cutting capabilities!
Cif was introduced to me when I first came to China. At that time it was only available in an import store in our town. Now I can find it at Wal-mart or wherever. I use it for the bathroom sink and tub. I like the lemon scent one.
Sometimes you need something a little more abrasive. AXE is similar to the green cans of Comet in the US. It is an abrasive powder cleaner. It works nice on dirt build-up in the bathtub!

Do you have a favorite dish wash soap you use? I've been back and forth if the AmWay is worth the extra $ for washing vegetables as well . . . it's not as sudsy as I personally like, but does pretty well otherwise.
ReplyDeleteHey! I like the Liby (立白) brand as good as any in the stores. I usually find a fruit and veggie wash at our grocery store. I've used the Great Value dish soap but its gotten runnier and runnier I think! I've not tried AmWay products here.
DeleteHave you found any good carpet cleaning products?
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately I haven't! I should look better. Our carpet is beyond help but we want to get a new one soon so maybe I'll search a bit. I often bring a little bottle of a carpet stain remover from US.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
