Teriyaki Chicken Marinade

Summer weather in recent weeks has meant a lot of grilling for us! One of our favorite things we've been doing is Teriyaki Chicken and pineapple skewers. This is my go-to recipe for a simple teriyaki marinade for chicken. You can turn the chicken into kebabs or grill it whole and just serve it plain. If you don't have a grill, just broil it or pan sear it. I also like to marinate chicken breasts in this, then grill or broil them and serve them on a bun with lettuce and tomato--very similar to a lot of restaurant style grilled chicken sandwiches! So hopefully you can use this marinade and come up with lots of meal options!

Teriyaki Marinade
1/4 cup soy sauce
2 Tbs orange juice
1 Tbs brown sugar
1 Tbs honey
1-2 cloves minced garlic

Mix everything in a ziplock bag. Add chicken breasts or 1-inch chicken cubes or strips--just depends how you plan to cook it. Marinate in the fridge for 4-8 hours. Grill, broil, or pan sear and serve!

We love putting this on skewers with pineapple and grilling it. Or grilling, broiling, or pan searing the breasts and putting on a sandwich.

  1. I wanted to share a recipe for cream of mushroom soup. It is different from your version so I thought I'd let you know. You can find it on my blog: http://matthewsoren.blogspot.com/2011/06/recipe-for-cream-of-mushroom-soup-in.html

Let me know if you like it! I love this recipe because it is very creamy and tastes just like home!
