Hey Sara Beth- I feel like I remember reading somewhere that you use your KitchenAid on a converter here. Mine is finally making the trip from the states next week, and I'm planning on using it to make ice cream for my little's birthday. What type of converter do you use? I want to get a good one that will lessen the chances of destroying my mixer.
Hey Katie-- We bought a local voltage stabilizer. We have 2 in our house--we use one for charging computers and phones to help battery life here in China. Then I have one in the kitchen--it has a 110V output and I plug my mixer and waffle iron into that to run them. They have worked fine for a year that way. We have that 1500w stabilizer in the kitchen.
