China Shopping: Taobao Tuesday

I thought I'd just give you a glimpse of my Taobao cart this past week. Maybe you'll find a fun thing or two!

  • Welch's Grape Jelly - Grape jelly is preferred by about half the people in this house. When you can get it for just as cheap as McCormick strawberry from local stores (even with shipping), its kind of a no brainer to keep a jar around.
  • Coffee Beans - A friend gave me this seller for cheap coffee beans. I've tried the Y22 Italian roast espresso--one time was fine for the price, 2nd time was not as fresh. I'm trying the slightly more expensive espresso beans this time (Y36). We'll see.
  • Kids Flip Flops! - I know this has nothing to do with food, but I'm really excited about our beach trip coming up later this month! Ready for a break from the cold. Most of these are Old Navy brand.
  • Fruit Strips - This 48-pack of fruit leather strips averages to about Y2/strip. Hard to beat for a healthy snack alternative. We have some travel coming up so I thought these would pack small but be healthier than most travel snacks!
  • Nuun - These are electrolyte enhanced drink tabs. They dissolve like an alka seltzer in water. My husband is training for a triathlon, so I've been ordering these for him. You get about 12 per pack so they average to cheaper than other sports drink alternatives (Gatorade or the local Propel type things) that are available around town. These are also good for him for longer treks he does since they pack light and small but give extra energy and vitamins. We researched them a bit on their site
  • Under Armour Headbands! - Again, not food, but so fun, right?! Who wouldn't be motivated to work out with a cute headband? Ha! I had 2 arrive this morning!
If you made it through all that, you probably live in China like me - if you'd like to follow my Taobao Board on Pinterest, feel free. I don't pin all my finds, but there are a bunch!

  1. Can you share the link for fruit strips? We love them as a snack, too! Didn't see it on your Pinterest board. Thanks! :)

  2. Hey Ashley--All the names have a hyperlink to taobao item. Just hover over and it'll change to orange and indicate the link! Maybe I should make it more clear and make the text a different color than grey!
